Stardew Valley Cheat Commands: /money, /debug & Every Hidden Command

Stardew Valley has a real built-in cheat layer — no mods needed on PC. As of 1.6.9, the in-game chat box accepts /money and /debug commands directly, alongside the older debug keys. This page is the full cheat sheet.

What are the main cheat commands?

Open the chat box (default T) and type:

All of these run in singleplayer and multiplayer (as long as you can open chat). They’re part of the game — not a mod — and they don’t flag anything.

How does /debug item work?

The syntax is /debug item [ItemID] [Quantity] [Quality]:

• /debug item 74 1 4 → one iridium-quality Prismatic Shard
• /debug item 268 99 → 99 Starfruit (default quality)

If you don’t know the ID, /debug getindex [name] finds it — /debug getindex "Prismatic Shard" returns 74. The full ID list is on the item IDs page.

What can /debug NOT do?

A few limits worth knowing:

• PC only — console editions have no chat console
• It can’t add every flag/state — some quests and events are controlled by deeper game flags that need SMAPI
• /debug commands are not gated by a cheat mode toggle — they work immediately in any session

Does using cheats disable achievements?

No — Stardew has no anti-cheat. Achievements, Steam unlocks, and collection progress all keep working. The game is single-player-first by design.

What about the older debug keys?

Pre-1.6.9 debug keys still exist on PC — F-keys for time skip, P for immediate catch — but they’re unstable and mostly superseded by the chat commands. Stick to /money and /debug.
